I know, I know... She looks like she's going to fall over, huh? Too bad. Please don't point out what I can already see is a big flaw in this piece.

FINALLY I finished this! This drawing has been sitting in my sketchbook since the beginning of spring semester, just waiting to be inked and colored. I think this is a testament to my practice with markers, because this is 90% prismacolor marker, with some acrylic and mechanical pencil touchups.

Anyway, as you can see I'm a fan of Avatar. Although I think I'm very close to being a water bender, I just had to go with Earth bending for Wolf Nymph. If she could, she'd do both, but I think that's against the rules of the Avatar universe. But, so is an earth bending anthro dog girl, so I'm breaking the rules no matter what!

This is sort of the opposite side of this version of Nymph: [link] less femanine, more sturdy and warrior-like. Stubborn and fierce, hehe. I hope I got that across without making her look TOO manly, but she does look pretty beefy here.

I suppose she has many sides to her! ^^
Not in fanart section because Nymph is my original character, not intended to be an Avatar fan character.

I have to say it: The pose is awesome. I love how the viewer can just feel the power the character's exerting. I wouldn't want to mess with her. :)
my only qualm is her balance seems precarious

i said meow bitch, MEOW!
I'll admit this. This is totally unexpected coming from you, but I like it a lot. :D

Eeeeeeeeeeeeee she's going to fall flat on her rump!

...unless she EPIC BENDS herself a CHAIR IN THE NICK OF TIME! 8D Seriously though, her center of gravity is off enough that she would. Poses like that aren't that stable in the first place, as you're presenting a flat front and all it takes is one good shove, but she'd need her legs spread out a bit more and feet more forward OR to be leaning forward more. (Please understand that I'm not trying to be a b*tch; I took martial arts for about four years and this is very similar to one of our basic stances, Horse stance.)

Awesome sauce on the coloring though man. I'm still learning how to work with those markers. :P How do you get those nice highlights in her fur? I've worked long 'n hard to find a way to do that with the markers but haven't discovered any secrets yet. X3 Forget the rest, your coloring owns me. :lmao:

WHALE BIOLOGIST!
hmm, how so? Could it be the shadow positioning, or perhaps the way the bottom of her foot isn't totally flat to the ground?
hehe, thank you! ^_^ How is it unexpected, do you think?
I took martial arts too, so I get it about stances and balance. I dunno, I think you're comment is constructive but the way you presented it stung a but, Kettish. =/
:( I'm sorry. I'll work on that for future comments and critiques. (And I haven't slept in over 24 hours so I really am having judgement issues.) In all seriousness though I apologize; my intent is never to belittle (or sting) an artist over a piece of work. I'd much rather help them make it better or further their understanding.
