I haven't uploaded anything for a month, so I thought I'd finally post this children's book illustration I did for class last semester. This is Jonny Appleseed helping bandage the wolf's leg after finding him in a hunter's trap. The wolf then becomes his traveling companion!
I painted this entire thing in gesso and payne's gray acrylic before glazing color (also in acrylic) over it. It was my first time trying the technique. I think it was successful in creating ground and environment textures, but I'm not pleased with the way the wolf looks. I like Jonny's face though, I should paint more humans.  Sorry for my absense! I'm in a bit of an art lull, but I wanted to share some stuff that's been sitting around with you anyway. Copyright to Katie Hofgard |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
