While the background is wonderfully illustrated, I feel that the wolf's stance seems more than a little shortened. Even with the perspective being as it is the right foreleg looks cropped more than it should be, and all in all the limbs look far to stubby. The fur is nicely shaded, but while the moonlight gives a good highlight it lacks the contrasting shadow that would be given by the subtle light source. The crescent moon would not be able to give off the full light that a full moon would, and your piece reflects more of a full moon effect than a partial one.

I suggest in future pieces a more extreme play of light and shadow. Pay attention to the light source, since it alters the focus of the piece. However, despite these things I find the work well portrayed and the concept excellent in it's simplicity.
