A gaia character commission for Tiva boon. I actually really like the way it looks over all, but my coloured pencil work in this one (especially the skin) could have been better. She's supposed a rather serious looking individual, pretty but powerful, and not to be messed with at all.

she's so very pretty. I love how you have drawn her body type and her pose is perfect :) And yes she looks very serious. :)

That's very beautiful; the texture of the clothing looks so soft, and don't get me started on the folds. Wonderful figure! *envies*

The coloring is wonderful. Perhaps the texture on the skin should have been different from the dress, but the texturing on it makes it have a lot of depth and makes it look like *material* and not just *color* on the page. Very nice work. I love the inks for this one too - I hope they're still up. :)

I can't really help what the texture is, because it's all coloured pencil on one surface, but I'm glad you like it. ^^ unfortunately I think it's mostly because of my scanner, which... is being kind of funny lately. but I did the best I could without making it look pixilated

I don't know what kind of paper you've colored on - but you might try putting a stiff board, like a plastic board that the Japanese school kids use, under the paper to see if it changes the texture of the colors. If it's got a soft surface underneath it, it's likely to sink down, be soft, but if it has a harder texture, it might cover more firmly and solidly. You can get a pencil board almost anywhere if you've got an asian market near you. If not, laminate a piece of index board. :)

But I think the texture on this piece is still really nice!

That's a pretty good idea actually. I jus put it on top of my sketchbook or a magazine to colour it. well, this one looks ok, but I'll try something different next time I colour some human stuffs. ^^ they sell pencil boards at any art store too, so I may pick one up if I can come across some extra cash someday soon.

I love the hair. Your coloring is always so damn smoothe! Gimme your talent now.
