So here it is! I've been working on this for a while now, and thought I would reveal this project. I'm going to be making casts of this sculpture to sell, so read below for more info!
Standing at 6.5" tall, this highly detailed figure will be cast in an aquatic clear blue resin and come primed for painting. These are cast by myself with equipment and materials I bought along with my friend and colleague, ~soulofwinter. This is the first in a line of fantasy/wildlife sculptures and casts made by us. We don't yet have a sample for custom painted casts, since FC 2010 is in just a few days and we don't have time.
All cast pre-orders will come with $10 worth of extra merchandise from me (prints, stickers, bookmarks, etc). Each pre-order will go to covering the start-up costs of this project. Production of casts will begin in spring, when the weather warms up. We need a room temperature, well ventilated area to cast, and in this weather we can't do it outside. We also need to get an idea of how much resin to buy based off pre-order numbers.
This sculpture has a sister sculpture as well! If you would like to order it, please visit [link]
If you would like to order both sculptures together and save on shipping, email wildmoondesigns@gmail.com
Man, first all of this amazing digital art, and now SCULPTING? I'm jelly of your skill ma'am, I truly am. What software do you use for your digitals, and... seriously, I just can't get enough of that otter.
I started posting art online when I was in highschool, took small super cheap commissions back then. It's just sort of built from there, and I've learned a lot on how to run a small business. After college I started advertising for commercial work everywhere I could find, and got some small jobs here and there. It's a cumulative thing, just getting your work out there and honing skills and business practices is the way to go!
He looks like Guardian!!
What do you use do make it? looks like... wax? o.O
Has anything developed with the otter? I would dearly love to give one to my wife for Christmas but the link provided returns nothing.
Thanks so much!
