I've had this character concept in my sketchbook for a while and my head a lot longer, so I finally decided to make something of one of the sketches. This is Rook, another of my mammalian dragons. Rook is Cyrus' best friend and near litter mate, having had grown up together for their entire young lives. They are also sparring partners, but both have their own strengths and weaknesses. Cyrus uses the chain weapons (manriki gazari, unsure of spelling) and Rook uses the kwon tao (spear-like weapon, again unsure of spelling). Man, I can't spell any of the weapons I seem to want to assign to my characters! I should fix that. Anyway, more of rook to come. I have a couple more sketches I'd like to complete, but next time without crappy flat digital colouring. And, critique discouraged because I like my design just the way it is (or however else I decide to change it) and I know the colouring is crap. XD

[edit] I put some lazy cell shading on it to spice it up and because I'm bored (remember, I'm still a digital art infant) and also corrected the arabic writing. Since I don't know arabic, I assumed the font translation would be somewhat correct, but I'm oh so wrong. Thanks to completeaccident, I now have it correct! although "j-h-h 3" looked cool in arabic too. ^^
