Many people associate the sign of Aquarius with water, seeing as it's derived from the word "aqua". However, Aquarius is dominantly an air sign, and means "water bearer". Being an Aquarian myself, I can't help but revisit the concept again after making this piece back in 2005. I also can't help myself with these chunky swirly designs. XD

This piece will be for sale in the Further Confusion 2009 art show in San Jose!

Done in markers, colored pencil, acrylic and vine charcoal

I'm a Cancer, so my element is water, and I love how you depicted it here. A lot of people say that black and blue don't go together, but I tend to like the combination; the contrast of rough darkness and smooth, calm blue. Very nice!!
