Here is this year's christmas card design for my family, featuring Wolfy! (of course) I had a general idea of what I wanted to do, but my mom basically told me what she wanted to see specifically in this piece. I tried to work this from an illustrator's standpoint, going through thumbnails and colour studies and whatnot... I think it turned out well overall. I did struggle with making it look like he was looking out a window without showing the window frame itself, but I don't think I could have "zoomed in" as much as my mom wanted if I showed the window frame.

I put more effort into this christmas card design because I wanted to show off my art skills to my family.

ALSO (the reason I put a lot of effort into this)....

I'm going to donate the framed original to Eskie rescuers United: [link] if they will take it. If not, I'm going to try and sell it myself and donate the proceeds to them directly.

That's amazing, I think it is really sweet of you to do your own Christmas cards for your family, or that they even ask. :XD: I can see al the effort you put into this it is amazing like beautiful, and it makes me fell all warm and fuzzy. :D It sort of looks like wolfy is just jumping in the air and not leaning on a window, only because I'm so use to seeing reflections on the window when I look at photographs like this, but I can see why you would not do it if you didn't want the reflection taking the attention away from wolfy. :) This is so awesome, I love it and I bet your family did too. :D

I actually tried just that, and ended up painting over it because I couldn't make it look right. =/
